I can sort of imagine ELI from let the right one in to look similar to PAL, The visuals in this film are stunning, this is how i would imagine PALs house to look, the dismal colours then with the cats would bring it to life,

makeup ideas for dead person in snowblind, but with bruising and scars

a shot like this would be nice for the film ‘TOGETHER’, however, the silhouette would be of them sat with a blanket around them, and with lighting that makes the silhouette more defined ,it would also be a good idea to get some artificial lighting so its as though the lights on their faces, could be done with filters moving subtly?

i think the lighting in this is really beautiful, and if we were lucky enough to get snow, or can make some sort of realistic fake snow effect this sort of lighting set up would be brilliant for the night scenes in Snow blind, i know its a fashion shoot, but it sort of looks as though it could be a still of ELIN dragging the body, the light would be realistic aswell as it would be lit by her headlights,

Props for snow blind

Obviously the main one is snow which is not guaranteed, the hotel room could be the one we are staying at as it is free, and we would have constant access too it, the hotel rooms at the ‘hotel cabin’ seem to fit the look, white tiles etc, it also has backdrops of snowscapes  outside, which you will not get if we were in the city centre.

I looked at car rentals for ELINs car, happens to be a rental garage literally across the street from our hotel, which is reasonably priced, and easy to get to, i have also found a cheaper place downtown reykjavik that are cheaper, and have a VW polo of £57 which looks like it would fit in to the film well.

blood can be made cheaply but its a case of not ruining the paintwork on a rental car, so im looking into methods of protecting the paintwork, or making blood that wont stain.

The vodka bottle will be an important prop, and it may be worth producing one for the film, so not to use copyright or anything, could play with the films title on the brand name or something? Its also important that its obviously vodka from the bottle, and icelandic.

For wardrobe, ELINs costume will be mainly a over coat, i think red or black would be best, black would not show up the blood so this will be easier for continuity, or grey would work well as it would show up the blood marks if we want that, both black and grey will make ELIN look washed out and haunted through out, and subtle makeup will make her look progressively worse.

The dirty clothes on the bathroom floor should show up the blood stains, so whites and light blues. Another factor is the scene where she is in the bath, will need clothing that can be hidden so it looks as though she is nude.

The other main prop/wardrobe, is the body, and how we are going to dress the actor so they are warm enough whilst shooting. Especially scenes whilst he is being made into a snowman, this is going to need quite a bit of thought.

These are just some initial notes, and things to think about for budget etc.

The cross shaped sticks in the back ground at the beginning of this clip would suit the scarecrow prop. the sort of fabric dripping off the arms showing it to be old, and not too obviously a scarecrow, perhaps an old sack for a head?

I also think that although this is such a cheesy film, the cinematography in parts is really beautiful, lets just hope we get snow
